The interdisciplinary research team of the GREEN4MED project consists of 15 employees of the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology (12 in scientific-teaching positions, 2 assistants, and 1 lecturer), as well as 1 assistant and 1 lecturer from other components of the University (the Faculty of Forensic Sciences, FFZ, and the Study of Hospitality and Gastronomy, HIG).
All project collaborators are in the STEM field with FTE 1.
The basis for the planning, organization, methodological approach, and conceptual establishment of the research team was the similarity of scientific interests and expertise of team members in the fields of biotechnical, natural, and interdisciplinary sciences (chemistry and basic medical sciences), as well as relevant results of mutual collaboration among most team members through previous research projects (over the past five years) funded through various programs and funds (a total of 24 projects, of which researchers involved in this project acted as principal investigators in as many as 7).
The scientists involved in the project have received a total of 4 University of Split Science Awards and 3 Faculty of Chemistry and Technology Science Awards, while early-career researchers have been awarded 5 Rector’s Awards and 8 Faculty awards during their studies.
Team members have so far supervised more than 300 students at doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate levels, as well as 2 postdoctoral researchers, students in competitions and student projects (>5), visiting international (Erasmus) students (>5), and have actively participated in science popularization events (>40).
